The Web Content Assistant for the modern AI era

Starting today we’re rolling out our AI Web Content Assistant to help you build Web Experiences in innovative ways.

I know it when I see it#

Creating a website without seeing it on every iteration can be quite a tricky experience. We’ve recently added the Quick look feature to help you instantly see how content changes in Google Docs translate to the Web. With the rapid advancement of AI models these days, we could do better.

Ideally, I'd want the system to guide me along the way as I’m crafting the Web Experience.

For example, displaying options as you go along, so when something catches your eye, you can confidently say, "Yes, that’s what I want!" But you also don’t want to be restricted by those options—you want the freedom to continue experimenting. It should feel more like an open space for creativity.

Context aware#

The Web Content Assistant is each and everyone's new collaborator on the project. It enhances your ability to grasp the full context of your project. You can ask it to add links to other relevant pages or enhance particular sections, making it clear what to focus on. It can alleviate the blank page dilemma or start extensive revisions on existing content.

Much like a copy editor, it can provide feedback and suggestions, keeping the bigger picture of your project in mind.

When working with unstructured data, semantics becomes important. But what exactly is semantics? In simple terms, it’s all about meaning. In addition to the Web Content Assistant we’re introducing in parallel Vector Semantic Content Indexing and Querying. The secret sauce is to feed the Web Content Assistant with meaningful content which helps it to be more accurate and trustworthy when asked for advice.

As always with generative AI, we recommend reviewing and editing the final work.

AI Privacy#

Conversations with the Web Content Assistant are stored and retrieved locally from your computer as prioritizing privacy is essential for secure, compliant, and trustworthy AI usage. Every single message can be replayed or deleted to spark a new conversation.

It is crucial for enterprises to protect sensitive information to ensure regulatory compliance. Safeguarding data ensures operational continuity, reduces litigation risks, and upholds ethical standards. Additionally, proper data handling helps prevent AI bias and insider threats, while maintaining a competitive edge by protecting proprietary information.
